Des obstacles empêcheraient encore la littérature étrangère de pénétrer véritablement le marché britannique.<\/p>\n

Sur l’année 2015, la littérature étrangère traduite se serait en moyenne mieux vendue que celle écrite dans la langue de Shakespeare, pesant pour 7 % du marché des livres de fiction, en volume.<\/p>\n

En Allemagne, dont le volume du marché du livre est plus important, la part des œuvres traduites serait de 12,28 % en comparaison. Elle serait de 15,9 % en France et de 19,7 % en Italie, d’après l’édition 2015 de l’enquête<\/a> de Literature Across Frontiers.<\/p>\n
