COMMUNITY INTERPRETING, A RIGHT OF PASSAGE

On the 23rd of November 2018 the Laboratory of Narrative Research and the Laboratory of Translation, Interpreting and Communication, with the support of AIIC Greece-Cyprus will organize a symposium which will focus on community interpreting regarding migrant displacement, which will be live streamed.

This symposium aims to explore the problem of communicating that comes along with the migration displacement which has been a major issue for both the immigrants and the host countries. Community interpreting is the only channel through which these immigrants can pass their stories to the host community, including the responsible state bodies.

Traductanet, a company offering interpreting services, considers the role of the community interpreting very important in today´s world.
