When a client contacts Traductanet to request simultaneous interpreting services, the first thing our Interpretation Department does is explain that they will need two interpreters per language for a high-quality service.

An interpreter normally works in 30-minute shifts and a colleague takes over after that. The demands and pressure of conference interpreting mean that these breaks are necessary to ensure meticulous, excellent-quality work. If something unexpected happens (like a coughing fit, for example), the colleague is there to take over where the other left off.

At a conference working in English, Portuguese and German, for instance, we need a pair of interpreters per language and a total of three booths.

Ask us for a quote and Traductanet will be pleased to give you personalised advice.
